Ed Thrasher

Ed Thrasher has been with Brown Wood for 17 years. He spent 8 of those years as a truck driver, then became the yard foreman for 2 years. He is now the Plant Manager in Kennedy, Alabama, where both our CCA and DCOI treating facilities are located. He has been in this position for 7 years and is over all of the logistical operations out of Kennedy. Ed is responsible for treating all of the poles when they arrive to his facility from the Mathiston peeling plant, as well as scheduling all of the trucks out of Kennedy. Our Kennedy, Alabama facility has a large pole yard that services our southern states of customers, in addition to some of our customers that require specified framing. Ed is a true asset to Brown Wood and extrememly knowledgable about the industry.

Ed is married to Gina, and they have 5 kids, Heather, Brandy, Jeremy, Laura and Josh. They have two grand kids, Emma & Collin. In his free time, Ed enjoys bass fishing & bowhunting. He is a fan of Atlanta Braves Baseball and Auburn Tigers College Football.

STEVE ARNOLD / PLANT & LOGISTICS MANAGER

Steve began working for Brown Wood in June 1980 and has a wealth of knowledge in the wood pole business. His first position at Brown Wood was operating the crane used to unload and load trucks and rail cars. He then transitioned over to the framing shed. Soon after, he became the treating plant engineer for 8years until Brown Wood consolidated and stopped treating in Louisville. Since 1994, Steve has overseen the Louisville yard in addition to overseeing logistics for the entire company. He handles all customer deliveries and logistical operations from the Louisville location.

Steve currently lives in Mount Washington, KY and has an adult son who is 25. When not at work, you can find Steve pulling for the University of Kentucky Wildcats!
